With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Emanuele Cafiso, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Born in Ragusa Ibla, Sicily, Emanuele immigrated to Canada in 1953 in pursuit of opportunity and a brighter future. In 1963, he married Lucia, the love of his life, and together they built a marriage defined by love, commitment, and resilience.
Emanuele was a loving father to Claudia (predeceased), Laura (Mike), and Stefania (Jon), and a proud grandfather to Isabelle and Daniel. His greatest joy was found in the company of his family, with whom he shared his generous spirit and his boundless love and affection.
A man of humility and quiet strength, Emanuele took pleasure in life’s simple gifts, from tending his garden to following his favorite soccer matches. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his kindness, and his enduring generosity.
He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family and all who were privileged to know him.
Donations in memory of Emanuele Cafiso can be directed to The Palliative Care Unit and/or ALS Clinic, in care of The Sunnybrook Foundation.
