elevated 3s96o It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one Emilia Ortino (nee DeFrancesco). God called Emilia peacefully on April 6th at the blessed age of 95. She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband Francesco, daughter Pina, parents Salvatore and Maria DeFrancesco and her many predeceased family members. Cherished mother of Ernie (Adriana), Tony (Connie) and Rose (the late Frank). Devoted and caring Nonna to Rita (Ross), Nadia, Frankie (Anna), Tanya (Vince), David (Rose), Adriel, Nyssa (Enio). Emilia was blessed to be a Bisnonna to ten great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered by her family, relatives and friends for her kind heart, sense of humour and love of family.

elevated 3s96o Emilia was born on June 5th, 1927, in Rende, Cosenza; married her husband Francesco in Montalto, Uffugo on January 23rd of 1949. Together with their young children, they made their way to Canada by ship in March of 1959. Francesco and Emilia made a home that was always welcoming and ready for regular visits from family and friends. Emilia loved tending to her gardens and was well known for her great cooking! Her food, just like her life, brought joy to everyone she knew.
