elevated C6c3b Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Fausto D’Andrea on June 4, 2025, leaving a profound loss in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A devoted husband, cherished father, proud Nonno and Bisnonno, and dear friend, Fausto lived a life filled with love, kindness, and deep devotion to those around him.
elevated C6c3b Born in Carapelli, Italy, Fausto immigrated to Canada as a teenager, beginning a new life grounded in hard work and close family bonds. Fausto shared a beautiful life with his late wife, Elena, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He especially adored dancing with Elena — often spinning her with such joy that she had to limit his enthusiasm!
elevated C6c3b Fausto was a proud and doting father to his son Frank and wife Stav, his beloved late daughter Anna and husband Gerry, and a proud Nonno to Eric (Agnes), Silvio (Olivia) and Tara (Adrian) — all of whom cherished him deeply. He especially enjoyed playing Scopa, babysitting his grandchildren, and more recently, beaming at the colorful creations made by his great-grandchildren, Noah and Rey.
elevated C6c3b Fausto deeply cherished his siblings, Adelfina and Franco, and held a special place in his heart for his extended family. He will be lovingly reunited with his late siblings Flavio, Angelo, and Antonietta.
elevated C6c3b Fausto was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and was always eager to help family and friends with their home renovations — work he approached with joy, pride, and dedication.
elevated C6c3b Fausto was also passionate about perfecting the art of curing meats — including prosciutto, salami, and sausages. His recipes and methods became cherished family traditions, lovingly passed down through generations.
elevated C6c3b He had a passion for gardening, particularly his tomato plants, which he carefully pollinated each year in pursuit of a crop he hoped would rival even those of his hometown. Fausto was also a devoted winemaker (and happy sampler), always refining his process and proudly sharing his wine with everyone who visited his home.
elevated C6c3b Family gatherings brought him the greatest joy, especially the years at the cottage where he welcomed everyone with open arms — a place where memories were made by the dozens and love was shared across generations. Holiday celebrations were filled with authentic Italian food, story telling, games, and laughter — moments that reflected the warmth and joy of the life he built.
elevated C6c3b Fausto will be remembered for his kind heart, his readiness to help anyone in need, and his unwavering love for family and friends. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Elena and cherished daughter Anna, and his spirit lives on in the many lives he touched and the lasting memories he helped create.
