Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Frank Bucciarelli on October 23, 2025, at Mackenzie Health Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 59 years to Giselda. Loving father of Connie (Sean Leclair), Domenic (Julia), and Nadia (Joseph Mari). Proud Nonno of Alexandra (Jay Jacobsen), Nicholaus (Heather Noble), Katheryn (Domenic Di Stefano), Sophia, James, Giancarlo, Leonardo and Stella. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Domenic (1999) and Concetta (2010), and his sister, Maria Syme (2001) (John Syme, 2020). He will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of his many extended family and friends.

Frank’s life was a testament to quiet strength, integrity and perseverance. Born in Abruzzo, Italy, he immigrated to Canada, with his family, at the age of 13, leaving behind familiarity. From those early years, Frank’s determination and work ethics were foundational to his goals. He became a Professional Engineer and earned his Master of Engineering, from the University of Toronto – a remarkable achievement that spoke to his intellect and his drive. He spent his career with Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), where his expertise and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Even after retirement, Frank remained connected to his professional network and close colleagues.

Above all else, family was paramount in Frank’s heart. He designed and built a cottage, motivated by a desire to create a family gathering place, where birthdays, long weekends and summer vacations were celebrated. He loved his family deeply, and inspired his children and grandchildren to be the best they could be. They are his legacy.

Your thoughts and kindness are truly appreciated during this time of sorrow.

Flowers are welcomed.
