elevated nX76I Geronima Romero Laga, in her 95th year, peacefully passed away on March 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 8, 1930, in Bohol, Philippines, Geronima moved to Canada in 2006 to join her family. Her life was marked by a profound dedication to both her family and her faith. A devout Catholic, she served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Bohol, Philippines.

Known as the Matriarch of the Laga clan, Geronima was the embodiment of wisdom, love, and strength, shaping the foundation of her family’s legacy. She was the proud mother of nine children, the cherished grandmother of 17, and the devoted great-grandmother of 16. A loving wife to the late Godofredo Laga Sr. for 51 years, Geronima’s life was devoted to nurturing her family with unwavering love, support, and guidance through every challenge and triumph.
elevated nX76I Geronima’s legacy of love, service, and unshakable faith will be eternally cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her children Zen (Deo), Sr. Ester, Malou (Robert), Godofredo Jr. (Loila), Gil (Irma), Sinia (Nigel), Alice, Godoberto, and Brechyl (Roger), as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
