elevated W2m7e Ginger Shuk Fong Chung (鍾淑芳) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 21, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Ginger was a fierce fighter throughout and to the very end. Her life was a testament to her resilience, love for learning, and devotion to family.

elevated W2m7e She was born and raised in Hong Kong to Chung Kwok Tai and Pang Ho. In 1989, she immigrated to Canada with her mother and two young children.

elevated W2m7e A passionate advocate for education, Ginger was an elementary school teacher when she lived in Hong Kong. After moving to Toronto, she became an Early Childhood Educator with the City of Toronto Child Care Services. Over the next two decades, she cared for, nurtured, and taught countless infants and toddlers, leaving a lasting impact with her patience, discipline, and kindness. In her retirement she found joy in traditional Chinese painting and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

elevated W2m7e Ginger is survived by her son, daughter, granddaughter, and two grandsons. She was predeceased by both of her parents.
