It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Giuseppa Bocchicchio (nee D’Amore) in Newmarket at the age of 83. She was born in Manocalzati, Avellino, Italy to Ginevra and Giuseppe D’Amore.
elevated ByW5T Giuseppa was a devoted wife of 62 years to Francesco who on July 18, 1962 was married in Manocalzati, Italy.
elevated ByW5T Loving mother to Angela and Mariano (Jennifer). Adored Nonna to Alejandro (Alexia), Claudio, Gianfranco, Antonio, Sydney and Cassidy. Dear sister of Vincenza D’Amore & the Late Sabino D’Amore.
elevated ByW5T Giuseppa’s life was one filled with love for her family, her many friends, and for those whose lives she touched. Her captivating stories created smiles, laughter, tears, and inspiration for her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all. In Memory of our mother donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Francesco, along with his children and grandchildren. Giuseppa, a true force of nature, was so welcoming to all she encountered, and treated everyone like family. I feel so lblessed to have called her my friend. I will miss our get togethers and mini trips that we so enjoyed in her, and Frank’s, company. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched, especially mine. Rest in peace my dearest friend. Hugs to all her loved ones who grieve for her. May God give them strength in, this, their hour of need.

My sincerest condolences to Franco, Angela, Mariano and all the grandchildren. We became friends of Franco and Giuseppa about 20 years ago and loved them both dearly. Our friendship deepened when we both bought our vacation homes in Florida. We spent many nights having dinner together and playing cards well into the night. Franco and Donato would spend the whole day fishing while we would go shopping or making pasta or cooking together. Amazing times. But, alas all good things come to an end. I will miss her terribly. She truly was one of a kind. Always willing to help anyone and could easily put a smile on your face with a joke or two. She was a master at telling jokes.

For the limited time I got to know this amazing woman (mostly in Florida) she treated me like just another grandson.
Her love, warmth, and kindness could be seen on a daily basis through her actions and words.
I am finding it hard to process that someone I spent time with and enjoyed playing cards and laughing with my Nonni and I is no longer with us.
