Glebocki, Irene – Born September 5, 1932 – Died Peacefully on November 10, 2020.

elevated q2Gkl It is with incredible sadness that we announce the death of Irene Helen Glebocki.  Irene died suddenly and peacefully in the early hours on November 10, 2020.  She was happily married to her sweetheart Michael for 68 years.  She will be deeply missed by daughters Kazia (Jim), Dania and Miecia (the late Aldo) and by her sister Cecile (Bill).  She was a huge fan of her grandchildren, Steven (Mary), Michelle, Cyrena (Jerry), Michael, Kyle (Stephanie), Karli (Rob), Kelsey (Andrew), Kasey and Kristie and Great-Grandchildren Sarah, Zara and Alessio.  She will also be missed by her nieces Theresa and Janine.  Irene is pre-deceased by her parents Antoni and Stefania Rzadkowski, mother-in-law Carolina, brother Richard, daughter Christina and grandson Robert.

elevated q2Gkl Irene was a Wonderful and Talented Woman who devoted her life to the care of her family.  She was an accomplished cook, baker, seamstress.  She won awards for her wedding cakes, gingerbread houses and christening gowns.  She was a 35 Year Volunteer at Etobicoke General Hospital.  She was proud of her Polish heritage and passed on cultural traditions to her family.  She was deeply religious and spiritual and was a member of St. Benedict RC Church for 56 years.  She helped develop and taught a Catechism Class for pre-schoolers in the Parish.

elevated q2Gkl Irene was integral to our family.  She loved to travel and read, but her greatest joy was entertaining her family and friends. We will all miss watching her dancing the Oberek with Mike.

elevated q2Gkl A Private Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020; Internment to follow at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery.
