It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the passing of Jean Mary Glionna (Aunt Jean – “AJ”) on March 21, 2026, at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital at the age of 88. She is now reunited with her parents Frank Sr. and Mary Ellen, and her beloved brother, Frank Jr.. Dear sister-in-law of Judy, and cousin of Marie. Beloved aunt of Michael (Kathy), David (Mary Jo), Mark (Heather), and Paul (Natasha). Cherished great-aunt of Jason, Matthew, Jessica, Christopher, Samantha, Thomas, Paul, James and Charlotte.
elevated f0PeR Jean had a fulfilling career in caregiving as a VON nurse, starting in San Francisco, California and finishing up at North York General Hospital in Toronto. She was a long-time resident of the Upper Canada Apartments at 160 Erskine Avenue, endearing herself to numerous fellow residents over the years. Jean enjoyed a weekly coffee visit with her retired nurse and neighbour friends, maintaining lifelong friendships with so many. An active athlete, with a love for tennis, golf, skiing and all sports, Jean was also a big fan of Toronto’s sports teams, especially her beloved Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.
elevated f0PeR Jean’s world revolved around the lives of her cherished nephews and their families, imparting on them her keen sense of humour and kind, caring nature. Jean will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her extended family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.
