elevated qWDmq It is with the deepest regret that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Jose Alberto Melo Pereira, who passed away in the early morning of September 19th, 2025.

elevated qWDmq He leaves behind his dedicated and faithful wife of 56 years, Joana, a son, a daughter, and four grandchildren. Jose lived out his life with Joana in beautiful British Columbia, tending to his gardens and practicing the art of winemaking. Some of his fondest memories included working for the North Vancouver School District, where he was surrounded by children. Another of Jose’s greatest loves (besides my mother) was Africa. He constantly spoke of his experiences while serving in the military and volunteering to watch over the orphanage while stationed there.

elevated qWDmq My father was a quiet and humble man but possessed a sense of humor that few had the privilege to enjoy. His friends, who were more like family, brought him great joy in his life, and they should know how important they were to him. As a father, he was and will always remain our idol and hero; the sacrifices he made for our family were incredible and will always be appreciated. We love you, Dad, and will always hold you in our hearts.
