It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Vassallo, at the age of 76. He will be greatly missed by his wife Connie, his son Eric (Amanda), his grandchildren Nathan and Noah, and his loving family and friends in both Canada and Malta.
Joseph was a simple man who was larger than life. You would never find him sweating the small stuff. He always knew what really mattered and what didn’t. Joseph was always the loudest in the room as he told stories, cracked jokes, and taught life lessons. He relished in his retirement where he could be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm, watching a documentary, cleaning his beloved Jeep, or having a nap aka “recharging his battery.” He loved hunting season every fall, and returned to Malta every summer where he was cherished by his loving sisters and family.
Joseph’s time to shine was in his role of Nannu. He loved his grandsons dearly and made sure they knew that in the love, care, and attention he gave them. As a big kid himself he was the perfect partner to play games, make bacon and eggs, and decorate the house every Christmas season with every piece of decor he had collected and cherished since the 80s.
Joseph’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We will keep his many life lessons tucked closely in our hearts as we navigate life without him.
Rest in peace Joe. You were loved No regrets
Our deepest sympathies and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We will always have great memories.
Rest in peace Joe 🙏
We will surely miss you uncle! May you rest in peace 🙏

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Please know that our hearts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
Although a piece of your heart may have gone with Joe, his presence will never truly leave you. He lives on in the love you shared, in the memories you built together, and in the countless lives he touched with his warmth and spirit.
May you find comfort in those cherished memories, and may his legacy continue to bring light even in the midst of sorrow.
With all our love and sympathy, Mike, Dianne
