elevated bBg2p Obituary

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Manuel Caetano Rego. God called onto Manuel on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the age of 92.  He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.

Manuel was the beloved husband of Maria Jacinta (Macedo) for 65 years and loving father of Mary (Alfredo), Teresa (Brian), Anna (John), and Manny (Patricia). He was a cherished grandfather of Daniel (Kristy), Jessica (Jason), Victoria (Ali), Matthew, Alexandra (Daniel), Adam, Cathryn, Sophia, Olivia and Madelyn. An adored great grandfather of Isabel, Rachel, Audrey, Aiden, Oliver, Siena, Emma and Mia. He was a strong and loving presence in the lives of his family and impacted so many throughout his life. He loved to read and learn; enjoyed sharing stories and talking to people; and spent countless hours outside in his garden. He was a kind, generous and resourceful person, who was so proud of his family and always willing to help others.

Manuel was the eldest son of the late Helen and Manuel Rego. Dedicated brother of Joana (the late; Mario), the late; Fernando (Ceilia), Joe (Ceilia), Helen (the late; Tony), and Ilda (Jim). He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and community. May he rest in peace.

His presence, love and spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
