elevated TYRbO God called Mary Delisle peacefully on September 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with Melanoma. She is survived by her loving husband Sandy of 46 years, who took care of her till the very end along with her daughter Leeanna and grandson Luca who cherished her and will always remember her in their hearts. She will be sadly missed by her siblings Marcella (Nicola Calvieri) and Carlo Cortese (Lucy) She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
elevated TYRbO We take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her mother Melina and father Giuseppe Cortese and other family members and friends who have passed on and in heaven together. She belonged to St. David’s Roman Catholic Church just a short walk away when we lived in maple, I have a lot of fond memories in that Church the Sacraments of Christian Initiation and with school and family, friends. The events and celebrations in the St. Davids basement that we went to.
elevated TYRbO I can still remember mom and dad picking me up from Sunday school at St. James Catholic Parish in the basement and all the fun I had, when we lived on Runnemede and Saint Clair. We have lots of memorable moments and memories from both churches and I’m glad I got to be a part of them. The greatest moments in Mary’s life were her love and joy with her family, she loved to be a wife, a mother and finally a Nanna (nonna). Nothing made her happier than seeing her grandson. Watching them together when he was born and up until now were the happiest memories of my life.
elevated TYRbO She had a passion for hairdressing and was known as being the best hairdresser I ever had, I will miss our talks and laughs over coffee or espresso doing each other’s hair and nails reminiscing about our day and talking about our wishes & dreams, she was known as the top hairdresser where ever she worked and best up do hairstyles when she had her own shop and when she worked at The Bay & Woodbine centre mall. The memories I have with my mom growing up and in the hair salon working with her and helping her and going to customers homes as well will live in my heart forever. They were the best times of my life. She loved to knit and crochet. I love the slippers, blankets, and baby things she made Luca and myself I will cherish them always.
elevated TYRbO Our family memories of the cottage, road trips, vacations, the trailer or just lazing around watching tv laying together have an imprint on my heart
elevated TYRbO I will forever be grateful for sending me to my Nanna’s (Nonna) when she worked and learning Italian and hearing my mother speak it as well with them it’s what really made me learn. The different stages of life, the good and the heartaches she was always someone I could count on to talk to, an ear to listen when that’s all I needed and open arms for hugs when I just wanted to cry or needed a friend, she was always someone I could turn to with no judgment just advice. She did everything for me and I’m thankful forever.
elevated TYRbO My mother was the gentlest, kind, caring, selfless person I have ever met in my life, no one could ever take your place mom, you will be greatly missed and will be on my mind every day that passes and is never forgotten. We love you, let’s not say Goodbye but see you later. I find hope comfort and reassurance with these verses

elevated TYRbO John 14:3 is Jesus’s promise to his followers that after he goes to prepare a place for them in heaven, he will return to take them to be with him, so that they will always be where he is.
Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away”.
God’s eternal kingdom, all suffering, sorrow, and death will cease to exist because the old order of sin and pain will be gone forever.
