elevated sfgAi Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maurice O’Neil Allen, peacefully, in his 92nd year.

elevated sfgAi Neil will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

elevated sfgAi Survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Beverly, his beloved children David, Susan, Gregory and Gordon, and his cherished grandchildren Lindsay, Kate, Erin, John, Caroline, Tai, and Priya. Predeceased by his treasured grandson Jamie. Survived by his dear sister Cynthia, numerous nieces and nephews, and several great-grandchildren.

elevated sfgAi Neil was born the 9th of 10 children to James and Isoline Allen of Christiana, Jamaica.  As a teenager, he left home to work for The Bank of Nova Scotia, first in Black River, Jamaica, then in Kingston, where he met the love of his life, Bev, who was the sister of a coworker.

elevated sfgAi Neil immigrated to Canada in 1956.  He was fond of saying that he followed Bev here. They married in 1958 and raised a beautiful family while rising through the management ranks at the CIBC.

elevated sfgAi In retirement, Neil and Bev spent all their days together, golfing up to five days a week, hosting family celebrations, and travelling the world.  They were always at each other’s side — a model of true love and devotion.

elevated sfgAi Neil was loved by all who knew him. Always smiling and quick to laugh, his joyous presence could light up any room.

elevated sfgAi In lieu of flowers, our family would appreciate donations to Diabetes Canada or the Kidney Foundation of Canada
