elevated UNUrw Rose Mary Matthews (née DiFalco)

elevated UNUrw May 6, 1928 –  March 12, 2020

Toronto, ON.  It’s with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Matthews family must share the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt: Rose Matthews.  Rose is survived by her daughter Tina, her son Jim (Elizabeth) and her four grandchildren (Alexander, Nicholas, Christopher and Kate) as well as her two sisters (Angie & Norma).  Rose was predeceased by her husband Robert and two sisters Dora and Jean.  She had many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends that she cherished very much.  Although she grew up in the depression, suffering hardships and developing resilience, Rose lived a long, healthy and happy life. She was strong, independent and proud and was able to see and enjoy all kinds of fascinating progress, innovations and world advancements.  Rose enjoyed her time with family and friends and was always there to greet you with her big warm smile. Being a social person, she wouldn’t miss a party, an outing, a chance to travel or a game of bingo.  Her memory will always bring a smile on the faces of those who knew her.
