The family announces with sorrow the passing of Sheryle Darlene Dixon on May 29, 2025, at the age of 87. She died peacefully in her sleep.
Sheryle was born in Montreal. As a young woman, she worked for Bell Canada as a secretary in an engineering division.Through friends she met Ron Dixon, and in time became a wife and mother. In the early seventies, the family moved from Montreal to Toronto with both husband and wife working for Kings Transfer Van Lines. Eventually Ron and Sheryle bought their own moving company, Lamb Moving and Storage in Richmond Hill, which they ran until their retirement. Sheryle ran the office and had many stories of their adventures. Together they traveled to many United Van Lines conventions where they always looked forwards to seeing old friends.
For many years Sheryle assisted with Shriner events with her husband Ronald in support of children’s hospitals. They ran the Turkey Roll for many years. It was a cause close to her heart. She continued to help Ron sell Shriner raffle tickets every yearup to her passing.
Sheryle loved Christmas and with Ron’s assistance decorated every inch of the house. She loved ornamentation and flowers and her backyard.
Survived by her husband, Ronald Edward Dixon and her son Kevin. The immediate family has chosen to mourn privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any children’s hospitalin her memory.
Dear Ron and family, Brian and I are so saddened by the loss of your beloved Sheryl. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Brian and Seema Budovitch
Sheryle was one of my closest friends for more than 25 years. She was kind, supportive and had a good sense of humor. She was genuinely happy when her friends and family were happy or accomplished something. Christmas at the Dixon’s was like visiting the North Pole and Sheryle found the magic in all of it. I think she woke up happy every day and she enjoyed the people in her life. I will miss you Sheryle and will try to live each day the way you did. Thinking of Ron and Kevin at this difficult time.
Ronnie and Kevin, my brothers Richard, Martin and me, we are very sad. We love Sheryle a lot. Our thoughts are with you.
I will always remember the discussions that I have with you Sheryle, I will miss you very much but I will remember all the beautiful moments we shared.
