elevated ojpAo Shella Tang, devoted and loving mother to Michael and Amy, and beloved wife to her late husband Perry, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on March 11, 2019.

elevated ojpAo Born in Hong Kong, Shella was the eldest of five children. She met the love of her life while studying at the Hong Kong Government School of Physiotherapy. As a physiotherapist at Ruttonjee Hospital and Cheshire Home, she was dedicated to restoring the mobility of many stroke patients.

elevated ojpAo In her early retirement years, she developed a passion for learning traditional Chinese and classical instruments. Shella was involved in many music groups and church choirs, and had the opportunity to perform in a number of countries around the world, using her beautiful voice and music to enrich the lives of others.

elevated ojpAo Shella faced all kinds of adversity with strength, wisdom, and grace. When her late husband passed away, she successfully raised two children who will always be so proud of her. She was a cancer survivor and always lived life to the fullest.

Dear Amy and Michael, my deepest condolences to you. Shella had been my role model in pursuing my erhu skills. She invited me to practise with her, reminded me to keep persistent and regular practices, and encouraged me to reach the higher standards. I learned so much from her. I thank God that I made the trip with her and other TCCO friends to Taiwan last year which allowed me to see her excellent organization skill. Her sweet smiles and sparkling laughter will always be in my heart.
Shella, I miss you so much. I look forward to seeing you in heaven one day, and we can play the erhu again–at the higher standard.

Dear Amy and Michael, I miss Shella very much. Amy would remember that we met last November when Shella was still very hopeful in life. Her passing was a real shock to me. It fell on the 4th day after my Dad’s passing, which was also “sudden”.
My deepest condolence to you. May the Lord receive Shella to his bosom and comfort you. Do keep in touch.
