It is with a heavy heart and deepest gratitude for his life, that we sadly announce the passing of our beloved father Francesco.
He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 16, 2026 at the age of 94.
elevated u3sBT He married Grazia Patella in Maione, Italy, and in 1965 immigrated to Toronto, Canada, with Maria and Lina in search of a better future for his family. In Canada, Sandro and Silvano were born, completing the family he loved so deeply.
elevated u3sBT He was a hardworking and devoted man who always put his family first. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved immensely. Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, he was always ready with a joke and could make those around him smile with ease.
elevated u3sBT He treasured his many friendships and created countless cherished memories with those closest to him. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, hunting, and playing cards, and approached each of his hobbies with passion and enthusiasm. While he found great happiness in these pastimes, his greatest pride and priority was always his family.
elevated u3sBT He will be forever missed by his dear children; Maria (Tony), Lina, Sandro, Silvano (Josie). Proud nonno to Clara, Daniela (Adrian), Marco, Graziella (Aaron), Giuliana, and adoring bisnonno to Matteo, Luca, and Jackson. Francesco is re-united in heaven with his beloved wife Grazia and his parents Maria Assunta Cozzetto (nee Gallucci) and Giovanni Battista Cozzetto. Pre-deceased by his brother Antonio (surviving wife Maria), Modesto (surviving wife Caterina) and brother Donato. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
