elevated 49lrx Obituary
Tommie Chan Sun, 93, left this world peacefully on August 4th, 2026, surrounded by his family. A loving husband to Simone (nee Law), Tommie was a pillar of strength and support for his family. Together they raised their children Eugene (Donna), Gerald (and the late Cindy) and Karlene (Nigel) along with their grandchildren Sasha (James), Keegan, Marcus, Brenden, Victoria, Bryanna and great grand daughter Sophia. He cherished family gatherings during holidays and celebrations and was infamous for spoiling his grandchildren.
elevated 49lrx He was born on November 22nd, 1932, in Vietnam but moved to China at a very early age. He immigrated to Trinidad and Tobago as a young adult where he met his wife and where the children were born. With his strong work ethic and commitment, he worked his way up and became part owner of a very well-known successful business in downtown Port-of-Spain. After working hard for so many years, he wanted a better life for his family and immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1985 in preparation for retirement.
elevated 49lrx Tommie had many passions in life, including basketball, stamps and coin collecting, cultivating cacti and orchids, travelling to many exotic places, and his favourite pastime……daily/weekly trips to the Casino. He led a very long full life and will be truly missed.
