With profound sadness and endless love, we share the passing of Adele Cortiula (nee Del Duca) at the age of 83 on Monday, February 3, 2025, followed by her beloved husband, Vittorio Cortiula, who passed peacefully at the age of 91 on February 5, 2025.
elevated 7DQAr Adele was born on April 29, 1941, in Terelle, Frosinone, Italy, the cherished daughter of the late Celestino and Genoveffa Del Duca. Vittorio was born on August 13, 1933, in Santa Marizza di Varmo, Italy, to the late Aldo and Jolanda Cortiula.
elevated 7DQAr Together, Vittorio and Adele shared 65 years of unwavering love and commitment, building a beautiful life centered around family. They were the proud and loving parents of Bruna Cortiula and Anna and her husband Ernie Pavan, as well as the adoring grandparents of Jacob and Rachel and her husband Dante. They are also lovingly remembered by all of their siblings and their families.
elevated 7DQAr Both Adele and Vittorio passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of their family. They will be fondly remembered by all who knew them. Their warmth and presence will live on in the hearts of family and friends.

Sending our heartfelt condolences on the passing of both Adele and Vittorio. Together in life and together in death. What a beautiful couple. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers. May they both rest in peace .
My heart goes out to you for the loss of your dear parents. I know how much they meant to you. I hope the memories of your precious parents bring you comfort. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
The pain and sorrow of having lost these two incredible, loving people is beyond description. Ours hearts are filled with sadness, We will miss our conversations, our joy, our laughter and our shared time together. Sharing a glass of wine at dinner and always sitting together. Vittorio and Adele leave many happy memories which will always be embedded in our hearts. They were like our second parents. The wonderful part of this all is that they took this journey together and will never be apart.

Jesalu. I knew the man for 45 years and still called him Mr. Cortiula, while my kids growing up knew him as “Vic”. I don’t think he’d have it any other way. I still have no idea how “Mrs. Cortiula” , to me, , was able to make the most amazing Polenta on a 4 x 8 piece of plywood. I grew up with it tasting like Playdoh. God, they were so nice to me in spite of knowing how I acted.
My wife Maria only met them twice, yet was not surprised at the news. “They had to go together. It was meant like that”. And she’s almost as smart as me.
In my 65 trips around the sun, I’ve learned everything about life I can tell you in three words. It goes on. And it will. It just won’t be as nice without them. Sorry I took so much space.
