elevated 4HBmW It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Agostinho (Tony) Ventura. Agostinho passed peacefully in his sleep at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
elevated 4HBmW Agostinho was born in Lisbon, Portugal and at the age of 5 moved to Canada with his parents Maria and Joaquim Ventura. Agostinho was a leading voice working within the Computer Information Security sector for over 30 years.
elevated 4HBmW In his youth, Agostinho was a prominent athlete, competing both domestically and internationally in racquetball. He excelled in playing football, was a competitive wrestler, and enjoyed being at the gym.
elevated 4HBmW He was a beloved brother to his sister Florinda Peschisolido and father to his two sons Adam and Dylan. He also played a role in the caring of his first granddaughter Kira. Agostinho valued time with his family and friends including those of his brother-in-law Vince Peschisolido, his Aunt Maria Amelia and Uncle Ismael Teodoro, and his long-time cousin and wonderful friend Anthony Teodoro.
elevated 4HBmW Agostinho valued time with family, photography and ensuring all his memories were captured in still moments that will last a lifetime. He was in constant pursuit of enjoying life and providing comfort to those he cared about. Agostinho always offered advice and direction to those who needed it.
elevated 4HBmW The family finds solace in knowing that Agostinho will be with his Mother and Father who he missed greatly over the past years mentioning how he has so much to catch them up on.
elevated 4HBmW Agostinho will live forever in each of us as his infectious charisma, humor and reliability played such a large part in many lives.
elevated 4HBmW Although we are saddened by the loss, Agostinho leaves behind memories and a life forged of love, laughter and the determination for a wonderful life.
elevated 4HBmW Donations may be made to Princess Margaret Cancer Center or to St. Joseph’s Hospital Cancer Center in lieu of flowers.
