Albert Cacchione

Our Champion

Born: September 3, 1939, Fossacesia, Italy

On April 16th, 2020, Albert left his beloved wife Gina of 58 years, and his children Grace (Adriano) and Joe (Teresa). He will be forever cherished by his grandchildren Erica, Adriana, Daniel, Alessandro, Samantha and Jessica. He will also be missed by his sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and his many nieces and nephews. We will miss our father, grandfather, our champion.

Albert was a quiet (some of the time) and gentle man, who made it his priority to care for everyone in his life. There was nothing more important to him than his family and friends. Our memories will forever be shared at the kitchen table on Sunday afternoons, where the family gathered to share a good meal, and listen to stories of the past from Nonno over espresso and lemon cake.

Albert built a legacy for our family– teaching us what it means to care for your loved ones through hard work and perseverance. Albert’s dream was to build something bigger than himself. He was the type of man that thrived when working – he never worked a day in his life because he truly loved what he did. Albert lived out his dream, and left behind a family who will continue to carry it out for him all the days of our lives.

He was our inspiration, our teacher, and our rock. He will forever be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Albert Cacchione be directed to “Schulich Heart Centre”, in care of The Sunnybrook Foundation, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 3M5. 416-480-4483
