elevated bfjfS It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Alda Maria Alves.
elevated bfjfS After a courageous battle with cancer, she has reunited with our beloved Father Domingos Alves. Our parents had an enduring love which gives us comfort knowing that they will share eternal peace together.
elevated bfjfS Our Mother was loving and devoted to her children Dominic Alves (Ana Paula), Alda Belkosky (Dan) and Paula Valerio (Danny). She will also be rejoined with our siblings (her Angels) Alda, Eduardo and Paul.
elevated bfjfS A proud and extraordinary Grandmother to Paul (Jessica), Philip (Tina), Michael (Rebecca), Stephanie (Abdul), Renee, Angelina and Alexander.
elevated bfjfS Adoring Great Grandmother to Brandon, Nicholas, Isabella, Gabriella, Lucas and Julian.
elevated bfjfS A cherished Sister to Irene (José), Manuela (Manuel), Marie (Howard) and Lucy (Paul).
elevated bfjfS Predeceased by her parents Agostinho and Maria Silva as well as her siblings Joao, José, Lidia and Alcide.
elevated bfjfS She will be forever in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States of America.
elevated bfjfS Sadly this year, many families in our own communities have fallen on hard times and cannot feed their family. That is why, in lieu of flowers, we are requesting that donations be made to a family in need or to your local Food Bank. Feeding the less fortunate has always been of great importance to our Mother.
elevated bfjfS Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family visitation, funeral mass, and entombment will be held.
elevated bfjfS Please click the link below to view the Funeral mass on our live stream service. The mass is to begin on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:30 pm. The link will become active about 10 minutes before the mass begins.

My sympathies to your family. I cried when I heard about your mom. She was a wonderful person and a great friend and neighbour to my mom, Maria Pacheco. I will always remember her as peaceful, gentle and caring. I share with your sense of loss. But JOY! She is now in a better place!
What a great tribute to your Mom. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you, and we will be there in spirit, as you lay your Mom to rest. Just try to remember that your Mom is extremely happy to be reunited with your Dad in heaven.
My beloved Madrinha (Godmother) who in all aspect was my 2nd mother. You will be forever missed and no words can describe our loss of your presence. A pillar of strength to all and with wise words of wisdom, encouragement and love when I felt the need of them all this was your gift. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear. Rest in Peace Madrinha, in the loving presence of Tio Domingos.

(Saozinha as she fondly called me)
Tia Alda was a remarkable woman. Life sent her many moments of challenge and tragedy, but these many burdens and trials in her life only seem to make her stronger. I admired her for her courage in the face of her and her husband’s illnesses in their later years, and I will always be grateful for her many visits to my parents. She is reunited with her dear husband now, and many of her loved ones who passed before her. I know she will be truly missed by her family and friends.
