It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfredo Prosdocimo.
God called Alfredo on Thursday, November 27, 2025 and he passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital, with his family by his side.
Beloved husband of Ermanna. Loving father of Sonia, Stefania (Marcus), Roney (Lori). Adored Nonno of Alessio, Gianpiero, Francesco and Luca.
Alfredo’s legacy is one of strength, kindness, and generous spirit with which he supported family and others around him. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by his extended family and friends, both in Canada, Italy, and Australia.
May he find eternal rest and peace.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (https://www.heartandstroke.ca/donations).

Dear Roney and family,
Our deepest condolences on the passing of your father/grandfather.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Paul and Daniela Guglielmin
Thank you Paul and Daniela, we appreciate your warm thoughts and prayers – they give us strength.
It is with a heavy heart that I learned of Alfredo’s passing. The Prosdocimo family were more than just neighbors; they were the steadfast backdrop of my entire childhood, and their home was a true sanctuary.
I spent countless hours immersed in their welcoming world. I can still recall the comforting, delicious scent of Northern Italian food that always resonated from their kitchen—especially the aroma of those amazing chicken cutlets—a wonderful aroma now forever tied to the feeling of warmth. Their home was a place of creativity and joy, featuring a piano, art supplies, and a magical backyard complete with a play castle (and a memorable dungeon!) and a chalkboard. It was always a privilege to be there.
And at the heart of it all was Alfredo. He was a gentle soul, soft-spoken and infinitely kind, always meticulously tending to his beautiful, vibrant garden. What I will treasure most was his remarkable memory. Despite his age, he had an amazing ability to recall the smallest details from decades past—moments I had even forgotten myself. Chatting with him was always a genuine pleasure, and his quiet, steady presence anchored our little cul-de-sac.
It is deeply sad to know that another cherished presence is gone from our street. Alfredo will be remembered not just fondly, but with profound gratitude for the loving light he brought into my life and the lives of so many others.
My most heartfelt condolences go out to Ermanna, Sonia, Stef, Roney, and all of the grandkids who are feeling this immense loss. May his gentle memory bring you comfort and peace.
Thank you Eleanor.
