elevated ZKnSb Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the Futerman and Dominelli families announce the passing of Allen Futerman on October 8th, 2026. Beloved husband and father, survived by his wife Lucy Futerman (nee Dominelli) and his daughter, Rachel Futerman. Born in Toronto to Harold Futerman and Helen Risman (Futerman) and later marrying Lucy Dominelli in 1992, becoming a treasured part of a new family – more than just “in-law.”
elevated ZKnSb Allen never missed a chance to talk to as many of his family members as he could, every single Sunday, about anything that came to mind. An authority on just about everything, but willing to learn anything – he always had a way to seek out those who needed to get something off their chest or hear a joke at family gatherings. He took his roles of Son, Husband, Father, Brother-in-Law, and Uncle seriously, but made it look effortless.
elevated ZKnSb Allen also built a respected career as an accountant where his integrity, patience, and sense of humour earned the loyalty of his clients.
elevated ZKnSb Allen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him, and were lucky enough to have him in their lives.
elevated ZKnSb In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

My deepest condolences to you and the family. May he rest in eternal peace.

I last spoke to Allen less than a month ago, where we spoke on many topics but primarily his love for his beautiful, incredible daughter, Rachel and his amazing wife Lucy. He always cared about the right things and truly important things. Family meant everything to him and he was rewarded with the best wife and daughter. I send my deepest condolences to both of you and all who loved him.
Love
Lori
Alan and I were close as kids growing up as first cousins. I remember MC ing his Bar Mitzvah. We drifted and I had thought many times recently of reaching out . Last time I saw him was at his mother Helen’s Shiva. I plan to do Kaddish( בלי נדר) for the elevation of his sole here in Israel for the required time. Truly sorry for the families loss.
We will remember Allen as a thoughtful and genuine person. Always greeting everyone with a warm smile and kind words. He was a devoted family man and spoke of his family with pride. We extend our sincere condolences to Lucy and Rachel. Our hearts are with you.
With love,
Aunt Ella and cousins Joy and Lisa Futerman
To many, Allen was a sharp-witted accountant, for me, he was not only that, but a true brother from another mother.
Allen and I shared a rich history that spaned some 30 years, taking us from Toronto to Mississauga through both a business and deep personal friendship.
We grew up in the same neighborhood, him in the Shamata factory on Spadina Ave, me in the pool halls of College St. Decades later, through a mutual associate, our paths crossed, we came full circle.
What was always supposed to be a quick half-hour business meeting always evolved a two-and-a-half hour nosh, which could have easily gone on for three-and-half.
I honestly don’t know how I could ever eat at Peter’s again.
We shared a unique dark humour, (most didn’t get it) a fierce love for family, and an unbreakable bond.
Allen was there for me, watching over me through my darkest days-and there were many. I’m sure he knew I had his back too.
I am deeply grateful for the decades of friendship we shared, it’s a rare thing to have.
Rest in peace my friend, my brother, you will be profoundly missed.
Lucy, Rachel, if there’s anything, no matter how big, small, or how insignificant it may seem;
please reach out.
Lucy, Rachel and family. I am so sad to hear that Allen has passed. Monty, Carter and I extend our deepest condolences.
Allen was such a great person. I liked him so much. I truly enjoyed our meetings and long conversations. I feel so lucky to have had the priveledge to have known him for the past 15+ years.
All my love to the family and everyone that knew him. His passing will be felt for a long time by many people.
May Allens memory be a blessing to eveyone that was lucky enough to have know him.
In Loving Memory of Allen
Some people come into our lives and leave a mark that time can never erase. Allen was one of those extraordinary people.
I met Allen when I was just 22 years old, and from that point on, he became so much more than my accountant or a close friend. I considered him a brother, and in many ways, he looked after me like a father figure—with wisdom, kindness, and a genuine desire to see me succeed.
Allen was a gentle soul: unselfish, exceptionally bright, and remarkably competent. His knowledge and expertise made even the most complicated things seem effortless. A significant part of my success is owed to him. He guided me, supported me, and made life and business feel seamless because I always knew I could count on him.
But beyond his professional brilliance, it was his character and his heart that made him truly special. He gave so much of himself without expecting anything in return, and his kindness and generosity touched my life in ways words can never fully express.
Losing Allen leaves a void that is difficult to put into words. I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed and that I had the privilege of having him in my life for so many years.
Thank you, Allen, for being my friend, my brother, my guiding light, and such an important part of my journey. Your influence will live on in everything you helped me achieve and in the memories I will always cherish.
You were a rare and beautiful soul. My life is immeasurably better because you were part of it.
Rest peacefully, Allen. You will never be forgotten, and you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Lucy and Rachel, our deepest condolences to you and your family. We were shocked to hear the news. Allan will be deeply missed. He was a good friend and business associate. I will miss our conversations about life…
Rest in peace Allan.

Our condolences to Allen’s family for their loss. We were surprised and saddened by the news of his passing. I will remember Allen for his approachability, kindness, down to earth nature, and sense of humour.
Dearest Lucy & Rachel.
Our deepest condolences to you both and the extended family.
I’m devastated and in shock. Allen was more than my accountant, both personally and for our business. He was a trusted friend, mentor, advisor, one of my biggest cheerleaders and even a shoulder to cry on from time to time.
I met Allen when he was a junior accountant just beginning his career over 40yrs ago , and there was something special about him. He always had time for you, no question was too basic or too silly. Subsequently, meeting Lucy and then Rachel, added joy to our lives and a created a special friendship between our families.
I last saw Allen only a couple of weeks ago, full of optimism and energy at his new location. It was a great meet up, sharing our thoughts on life, on business and what was important to us. I had no idea it would be the last time I saw him. I will miss my chats with him, even those long ones as Allen liked to chat it up as we all know.
Lucy & Rachel, you guys were his life, his purpose, his focus. He was so proud of his family. May he watch over you and be your guardian angel.
With our deepest sympathy and love, Lola & John

Dear Lucy and Rachel,
Our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family.
Allen was my oldest and dearest friend. We grew up together in the neighbourhood since we were 7 years old. Our friendship never wavered and we had a long standing business relationship.
We met often, each year and I looked forward to our all encompassing conversations.
Allen, you were a great friend and I will miss you very much.
Dearest Lucy and Rachel,
It is so difficult to believe that Allen is no longer with us. He was so much more than our accountant. He was a true friend.
He always had a joke to tell, a story to share, or a listening ear when we needed one. We always took such comfort in knowing that our finances were in his capable hands. His knowledge, dedication, and genuine care gave us such peace of mind. But beyond that, it was his friendship, kindness, and loyalty that meant so much to us. He was someone we could always count on.
Throughout the many conversations we shared over the past 30 years, one thing was always clear: how deeply he loved and cared for both of you. You were always in his thoughts and close to his heart. I truly believe that he will continue to watch over you, guide you, and take care of you from above.
Allen’s passing is such a tremendous loss, and his absence will be felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We will always remember him with great affection and gratitude for the friendship we shared.
May God bless you both, give you strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time, and help you find peace in the beautiful memories you shared with him.
He will be forever remembered and dearly missed.
With our deepest love and heartfelt condolences,
Sunita and Kishore Asnani
Dear Lucy and Rachel, and the entire Futerman family,
I am so deeply saddened to hear about Allen’s untimely passing. Allen and I knew each other professionally – he was a trusted advisor to me for more than a decade and I relied often on his sound judgment and deep knowledge. But he was much more than that. We’d often spend phone calls talking about politics, or business strategy, and what was happening in our personal lives. He always spoke so lovingly about his family. He was especially proud of you, Rachel, and would keep me updated on what was happening in your life. I know words fail in times like these, but your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I met Allen when I was in need of an accountant 11 years ago. He was professional but such a great sense of humor. I enjoyed our conversations immensely and I remember finding out we had the same birthday in the beginning. I said no wonder we get a long so well. I still can’t believe he’s gone. RIP. You will never be forgotten
Lucy and Rachel,
I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on your loss.
Allen and my late husband Fred were high school friends and he was also our accountant. Allen was very kind, generous, thoughtful and personable. He was also an excellent accountant and I trusted and valued our professional relationship. Every year at tax season Allen made sure to make time in his schedule for a visit. Over the years we had many varied and interesting conversations. I was always impressed by his knowledge on various subjects.
Allen will be deeply missed. I will miss our annual visits and occasional phone conversations.
My condolences to Lucy, Rachel and family. Allen was such a wonderful and caring person. I had known him for 20 plus years professionally and he helped me out so much. Every time I visited his office we would eat donuts and sweets and then get to business. There was never a dull moment in our conversations and he would always jump in to help me with my businesses when I would call for something urgently. I will miss you Allen dearly.
We are incredibly sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time.
