elevated 7p1OX It is with extremely heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Almira da luz Gomes, on Friday September 12, 2025, at St Joseph’s Hospital, at the age of 90.
elevated 7p1OX Almira was a caring wife to her loving husband Antonio, a devoted mother to her children Teresa (Mario) and John, and a proud and caring vovo to her grandson Gabriel Romano.
elevated 7p1OX She will be missed by her loving brother in laws and sister in laws, as well as her many caring nephews and nieces.
elevated 7p1OX Almira is predeceased by her parents Beitriz and Joao, and her siblings Elza, Anna, Mavilde and Justino.
elevated 7p1OX Almira was dedicated to helping people who were poor, experienced homelessness, and had disabilities. She quietly and humbly provided alms and charity. She regularly provided food, clothing and refuge to many people in need, throughout her lifetime.
elevated 7p1OX Amira had a lifelong devotion to Our Blessed Virgin Mary, and to Jesus. Almira’s passing, on September 12, was the same day as The Feast of the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Beautiful woman with a beautiful soul . Teresa we are saddened with the passing of your mother and hope the love carries on in your family with the thought of her at peace .
I didn’t know Almira very well but when she had that clothing store, she was so kind to me. She offered clothes to me without paying up front and said if I didn’t like them I can send them back. She trusted me 100%. That is the type of person she was. She was kind and thoughtful and seemed to care about people. Rest in peace.

I knew Almira for 40 years. She had a heart as big as her head. She was very lovable and caring, proud of her husband Antonio and his accomplishments and she treasured her children. I shall miss her forever.
May Perpetual Light shine upon her and through the mercy of God, may she Rest In Peace. Grant unto her Eternal Memory O Lord.
