Dearest Andrea, Paul, Franca and Gallo family,
I am so sorry for your loss. A devoted father and husband; a hard-working and talented artisan; and a caring, brave and genuine man, Alphonso will be deeply missed.
I am honoured to have had him in my life, and am so grateful that he always welcomed me into your family and that he raised my best friend. Alphonso was a strong and generous role model to many, including myself–and his memory and spirit now lives on in our hearts and minds.
Sending you my love, strength and support,
Mary Anne

Our deepest sympathy and love dear Andrea, Paul and Franca. The Fonz will always remain in our hearts a larger-than-life friend. Thank you, Alphonso, for loving our daughter as your own. We cherish shared times, all good memories!
Alphonso was a good man and our friend. We were neighbors on St. Germain from mid 90’s till we moved away in 2010. Our relationship was based on mutual respect. Many fond memories of the “Fonz”. He did like that name. Fonz worked hard in life and accomplished much – probably more than we know. He was a larger than life person to us. Family was paramount in his life as it should be. His father Paul was frequently around and always welcome at our home. Many interesting chats with the Fonz in the evening when we walked the dog. Laughed a lot too. We will miss Alphonso. Our condolences to Franca and family. Rest in peace my friend.
