elevated B00cs Obituary
Amelia  Borin (Scolaro) passed away on May 14, 2025 after 69 years of marriage to the love of her life, Marco.

elevated B00cs Amelia Scolaro was born on February 21, 1932 in Chiarano, Italy. She married Marco Borin by proxy and adventurously immigrated to Canada to join him in 1956. She was mother to Ennio, Paola, Sandra, and Paolo, and loving grandmother to Stephanie, Marco, Daniel, Jesse, Matthew, and Katrien. Amelia’s family was her main priority. She had a passion for flowers, cooking, sewing and enjoyed sharing her passions and passing on her knowledge. She loved creating, and working with her hands: by crocheting, painting, drawing, embroidery, photography, and sewing. Amelia was always curious and never afraid to learn or try something new. She embraced technology, avidly used pinterest and Youtube on her iPad, sent emails, and video called with friends, in addition to family in Italy. She had a wicked sense of humour, was adventurous, ruled over her kitchen, and loved trying all kinds of food and attempting to replicate those recipes. She continued painting and being creative until recent days. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by all who loved her.

elevated B00cs With deepest thanks to the staff at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket who provided heartfelt thoughtful care, treating her with dignity and respect and providing support to extended family. We will never forget the volunteers who nourished us with wonderful food including fresh baking daily for the constant parade of family.
