elevated JpDsW God called Amelia (Lina) Persechini (nee Sperduti) suddenly on August 16th, 2020 at the age of 84. She will be forever missed by Carlo, her loving husband of 65 years. She was the proud mother of Oriana (Joe), Stefano (Luciana), and Rosa (Rob) and an adoring Nonna to Lucas, Emily, Matthew and Rachel. She will be missed by her brother Enzo (Adriana) in Italy and is reunited in heaven with her parents, Arturo and Rosa Sperduti and sisters Anna, Mafalda and Gaetana.

elevated JpDsW Lina has touched the lives of so many through her endless generosity, strength, honesty and words of wisdom. There was nothing Lina loved more than her family. She always put the care of her family first, well ahead of her own. She filled her home with her love for cooking and gathering around the dinner table with her loved ones. Her strong work ethic was exemplified as a seamstress upon arrival to Canada from Sant’Elia Fiumerapido, Frosinone, Italy. Later, in her 23 years as the Head Cook for Shouldice Hospital, patients often raved how they ate better meals at the hospital than they did at home. She will forever be our beautiful guardian angel and her spirit will live on in our hearts as she rests with God.
