With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Anabela on February 26, 2025 at the age of 56. She was born in Praia da Vitória, Terceira , Portugal to Maria Manuela Gaspar and Luis Futado Gaspar.
elevated e2NX1 She was a beacon of light, always smiling, always laughing, and bringing joy to everyone she met. Her warmth, kindness, and love knew no bounds, and she had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went.
elevated e2NX1 Beloved wife of Vito for 34 wonderful years. Loving mother to, Cassandra (Erick), Felicia (Luca) and Matthew (Kaitie). Cherished Avó to Sofia, Augusto, Sebastian and baby Mantenuto. Adored sister to Luisa (Michael) Kalisperas, Steve (Tamara) Gaspar and Joe (Shana) Ditta. Aunt to Julia, Andrew, Noah, Angelina, Eric and Jack. A cherished friend, and a source of endless love and support to those around her. She was the heart of our family, filling our lives with laughter, comfort, and unconditional love.
elevated e2NX1 She loved to talk and connect with people, making everyone feel special and valued. Whether through a heartfelt conversation, a warm embrace, or her infectious laughter, she left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her joy was contagious, her kindness unmatched, and her love limitless.
elevated e2NX1 She will be deeply missed by her family, as well as by the many friends whose lives she touched. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she left behind and the love she shared so freely.
elevated e2NX1 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anabela’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Princess Margaret Hospital or to Margaret Bahen Hospice.

I’m very sorry to hear such sad news. I was so lucky to have shared so many wonderful memories with Anabela and Luisa during our childhood, we certainly had our fair share of laughs after getting into all sorts of mischief! Those were truly some of the best days of my life, filled with endless fun and cherished moments. I am grateful that Anabela was such an important part of my younger years. The bond we shared and the experiences we went through together have left an indelible mark on my heart. May God bless you and keep you safe always.
