elevated PRQ7C It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved Angela Celebre (nee Orrico) on October 19, 2024 at the age of 95. Angela passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving and adoring family at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

elevated PRQ7C Angela was born on June 15, 1929 in Cosenza, Calabria, Italy to parents Pasquale Orrico and Filomena Rovito. Angela was surrounded by her large and loving family, growing up in Cosenza with her many siblings (Rosina, Gaetano, Emilia, Francesco, Eugenio, Alfredo).

elevated PRQ7C Angela is now reunited with her beloved husband, Mario. They grew up together as children in Cosenza and when she blossomed into a beautiful young lady, Mario knew that she would become his wife. They were each other’s soulmate and enjoyed a beautiful and rich life together. They were the epitome of what a marriage should be.

elevated PRQ7C Angela was the beloved mother to Osvaldo (Mari) and Mirella (Sandro). Adoring nonna to Alexandra (Ashton), Angie (Steve), Mario (Olivia), Johnny (Stephanie), Mario, Cassandra (Richie). Cherished bisnonna to Sophia and Miguel. Loving zia to a great number of nieces and nephews.

elevated PRQ7C Angela was a devout Roman Catholic and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she adored and loved so so much! Her culinary talents were legendary. She had many passions from cooking, baking, gardening, food preservation, sewing, knitting and hosting bountiful family dinners. It was such a treat to listen to her many life experiences, traditions and words of wisdom.

elevated PRQ7C Angela will be sadly and immensely missed by her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten and held dearly in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in paradise!

elevated PRQ7C The family would like to acknowledge and thank Villa Colombo Vaughan, who provided exemplary care to Angela. A special and heartfelt thanks to her nurse, Jing, who was absolutely wonderful.
