elevated 0GoAh Angela Christine Farrell, daughter to Lawrence and Margaret (Richardson) Farrell, passed away peacefully on Monday April 8 after a lengthy hospital stay.
elevated 0GoAh Angela was a beloved sister and best friend to her twin, Bernadette, to Leslie (Pat) McAuley and to the late Jeannette (Jack) Pitre. She was a loving sister to the late Michael (Gina), Paul (Sheila), Greg, the late Stephen, Martin and Dan (Faye). She will be remembered with love by her many nieces and nephews as well as her wonderful Richardson and Farrell cousins. She created many happy memories with them over her lifetime.
elevated 0GoAh Angela was a devoted teacher at John Paul II Secondary School and her beloved Notre Dame High School. She was a creative English and Religious Ed teacher but was proudest to have been chaplain at Notre Dame for 16 years where she shared her faith with love and laughter. Angela enjoyed her membership in the Associates of the Congregation of Notre Dame and as such, had a deep devotion to Ste. Marguerite Bourgeoys. The Associates provided companionship through the long isolation of the pandemic and supportive friendship over the last few months during her hospital stay. She was grateful to have been a part of their community.
elevated 0GoAh Angela’s home parish of St. John’s was an important part of her life, the church where she received all of her sacraments, where she sang in the folk mass and where she organized many Notre Dame school masses. A mass will be offered at St. John’s at a future date.

Deepest condolences to Angela’s Family. I met her when I was in high school at Pope and later worked together at Dame. So many passions and always funny – I remember her smile and bright eyes. Sad to have heard of her passing – wishing her much peace.
My sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers are with Bernadette and the whole Richardson/Farrell family. I was so very shocked and saddened to receive the news of Angela’s untimely passing. We were such wonderful friends throughout our years together at Notre Dame, laughing and sharing fun and serious times at school, retreats, in CLC and with Sister McNally and Sister Eileen, running for Student Council with my “Rubber Ducky” campaign song, volunteering at The Good Shepherd Refuge and for years later through the ND Alumnae and while working on many school anniversaries and reunions.
Angela was a true ambassador for Ste. Marguerite and our beloved Notre Dame High School! I’m sure that Angela is dancing in heaven with the ND sisters and her family who were there to welcome her with outstretched arms! Angie, may you enjoy the peace and joy of eternal rest, until we meet again!
To Bernadette and family- I cherish the years we shared at NDHS And the wonderful memories. Bernadette my love goes out to you on the loss of your twin sister, my condolences, may Angela rest in peace.

Beloved friend; I was so grateful for your warm embrace at ND. While driving home from stewarding an event this evening – I remembered that it was YOU who taught me the school song. I hope you heard me singing it in honour of YOU tonight. Miigwech for your friendship, wisdom and love – particularly during the trying and sticky bits. Chi Miigwech for walking with such peace, love and generosity for all those who came to you for support. You will be sorely missed.
I was really taken aback by the news of Angela. I knew she wasn’t well but I had no idea on how unwell she was. It sounds so cliche I know but I’m 100% certain she’s in a better place, full of love, laughter and much music all performed by her large family who went before her and got things ready for her big welcome home party. Rest Angela, you’re home now.

Angela was a dedicated teacher and the first in the English department at Pope John Paul II to embrace technology in its fledgling era.
I was grateful to have a gifted teacher in Angela to deliver the original ESL programme. As such, she welcomed many students to Canada and gave them voice as their command of English grew. A legacy to be admired.
Angela’s reward is now in another realm.

She was always willing to offer sage advice and extend a hand. She loved the school and that was apparent in everything that she did. She will be remembered fondly. When I think of Notre Dame High School I think of Angela. She was a teacher, mentor, and friend and I was blessed to know her. She is a huge reason I chose Notre Dame and it was the perfect place for me. With her loss Notre Dame, it’s students and staff, have gained another guardian angel.

I am so very sorry and shocked to hear of the recent loss of your sister Angela. We went to NDHS together and had reconnected through a mutual friend these last 3 years. We had some very enjoyable phone conversations and talked about going for a coffee next time I was in TO. I can’t even imagine what a hole her passing has left in your life in particular Bernie and you have my heartfelt sympathy.
My sister and I were saddened to hear the news of Ms. Farrell’s passing.
