elevated uk7F7 Obituary

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved Angela D’Orio on the evening of Monday, June 30, 2025, at the age of 92. God welcomed our angel into His eternal embrace, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Angela was the devoted wife of 70 wonderful years to Carmine D’Orio, and together they built a life grounded in family, faith, and compassion. She was the cherished mother of Tina (Nick) Colica, Gina (John) Paolone, Anna D’Orio, and Rita (late Michael) O’Hara; the adoring Nonna of Danielle, Angie, Sabrina, Stephanie, Jessica, and Elizabeth; and the proud Bis-Nonna of Nicole, Joshua and Aramani.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother Rocco (Anita) Cappezzone and was predeceased by her dear parents, Domenico and Angelantonia Cappezzone, and her beloved sister Anna (Bernardo) D’Orio.

Angela was born in Roccasecca, Italy. She came to Canada in 1957. Angela lived a life defined by generosity, warmth, and devotion to others. She welcomed everyone with open arms, an open heart, and often, a delicious home-cooked meal. Her kitchen was the heart of her home where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and love was served in every dish. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, and she remembered every birthday, every celebration, and every detail of those she loved.

Her faith in God was her foundation. A true prayer warrior, Angela spent her life praying for those around her, family, friends, and even strangers. Her love was unconditional, her judgment nonexistent. She listened with patience, gave with no expectation in return, and saw the good in everyone.

Angela found joy in the simple things: the quiet peace of gardening, the importance of staying active, and the beauty of caring for others. Her commitment to health and vitality was matched only by the depth of her compassion.

To be loved by Angela was to know the purest form of kindness and loyalty. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, through her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and every life she brightened with her presence.

She was our matriarch, our confidante, our greatest example of unconditional love. We are better for having known her and heartbroken to say goodbye.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
Forever in our hearts, our beloved Angela.
