Angela Paulo passed away sudden­­­ly and unexpectedly on the afternoon of Monday September 20, 2021, surrounded by her family at the Etobicoke General Hospital. Heaven has gained an angel, and the night skies gained a bright shining star.  She is reunited with her beloved husband (João Arlindo Paulo) and is also predeceased by her parents (Isabel and Manuel Fernandes DaSilva), and siblings (Francisco DaSilva, Antonio DaSilva). She is survived by her 4 children for whom she was a loving and caring mother to Tiago Paulo (Christine), Nita Paulo, Berto Paulo, and Lena Kushnir (Geoff), cherished grandmother of Olivia (Corey), Kayla (Roger), Christian (Marisol), April, Casey, Amber, Abby and Nolan, and great grandmother to Eleanora.  She will be greatly missed by her large extended family of sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Angela was born in Madeira, Portugal, the youngest of 3 children. Before immigrating to Toronto, Canada, she and her husband lived in Jersey, England.  In 1966, they came to Canada to start their new life with their 4 children. Having received a scholarship for college studies shortly after arriving in Toronto, she was the first member of her family to attend post-secondary studies at George Brown College where she studied Mathematics, Business, and English. Her studies grounded her in a wonderfully long and fulfilling 36-year career at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) where she was amongst the first cohort of young bankers to use computers. She was very proud of her math and computing abilities and was often found helping family and friends with taxes, investments, and real-estate.  She started as a teller and worked her way up at RBC, moving into more senior roles in loans and investment banking. Beloved by her clients and coworkers she was often recognized for her hard work, winning many awards and accolades over the years. Angela was known for her big heart and generosity and always lived life to the fullest; always ready to help anyone in need, she gave generously to so many charities. One of her greatest joys was traveling to all the corners of the world to visit friends and family, sharing beautiful meals at the finest restaurants and shopping at the most exquisite shops. It was a life well lived. She will be dearly missed by all.
