elevated ZZo9t Anita Ka Chun Chau, aged 70 of North York, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.  She was born on December 5, 1947 in Hong Kong, the daughter of the late Pei Tse Chu and Mee Ying Lam.

elevated ZZo9t She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Francis Thieu Co Chau, three daughters: Lillian and her husband Mark Wang of Bryn Mawr, PA, Winny and her husband Jaanan Koivukoski of Ottawa, ON, and Vicky and her husband James Tan; four sisters: Esther and her husband Paul Lee of Scarborough, ON, Janis Chu of Scarborough, ON, Sylvia and her husband Gek Choon Lee of Singapore, and Fanny Chu of Scarborough, ON; two brothers: Simon and his wife Josephine Chu of Markham, ON, James and his wife Clare Chu of Scarborough, ON; four grandchildren: Michael, Bryn, Tony and baby; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

elevated ZZo9t Family and friends were Anita’s passion.  She grew up in a large family where extended family dinners were a weekly occurrence.  She also loved to cook and looked forward to hosting and entertaining family and friends during the Christmas season. She enjoyed exercising her mind with Sudoku and challenging her body by looking for the best deals while shopping.

elevated ZZo9t The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018. A Funeral Mass will follow within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph at 1:30 p.m. The final rite of committal and interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street Thornhill).
