elevated chdSf Obituary

elevated chdSf It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Anna Pacitti.  Anna was a beloved wife to Gerry Pacitti and loving mother to son Silvio, who was her greatest pride and joy! Anna was born on August 20, 1966 to Fausto and the late Elena D’Andrea, and was truly a wonderful and loving sister to her brother Frank and sister-in-law Stav.  She adored her brother-in-law Raffael, late mother-in-law Lina, nephew Eric, wife Agnes and niece Tara.  Anna was overjoyed to become a great Aunt to baby Noah.

elevated chdSf Anna lived a glorious life filled with much joy and laughter, and above all had a great love for family.  There are many years of cottage memories whereby aunts, uncles and multiple cousins would gather for weekend get togethers to play games, take walks along the lake and enjoy great homemade Italian cuisine.  Anna was always up for a game of Scopa! It did not matter to her what was taking place, but rather rejoiced in being surrounded by the people she loved.

elevated chdSf Anna had many passions.  She had a doll collection from around the world that was museum worthy and would generously give such gifts to friends and family, hand selected that represented the individual.  She had a knack for knitting and would often create a sweater or blanket while watching her favourite Audrey Hepburn movies, with Breakfast at Tiffany’s being one of her favourites.  This past Christmas she knit unique, colourful and personalized gloves for the family.

elevated chdSf All those who knew Anna would share that she truly had a genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, and willingness to lend a helping hand. She would jump at the opportunity to babysit Eric and Tara when they were young.  Anna had a large extended family in Italy, Australia, London, France and Canada. She would make a great effort to connect across the world to continue traditions of celebrations, whether birthdays, anniversaries or merely share stories of the simple things in life. Anna talked frequently of her many fond memories in Italy, and her parents’ town of Carapelle.

elevated chdSf When Anna married Gerry, it was one of the happiest times in her life.  She was a devoted wife and treasured the expanded family.  It was not long afterwards that she became a mother, and that was truly her calling.

elevated chdSf Her son Silvio brought her the greatest joy of all!  As a young boy she would dote over him and create special memories in all that she did.  There were many adventures with Silvio to the Zoo, Wonderland, family picnics and trips to New York to visit Raffael.  When Silvio became a Physiotherapist, she was overjoyed and has always been so proud of him and his accomplishments.  Anna welcomed Olivia into the family with open arms, and was thrilled of the joy she brought to Silvio, as well as the family.

elevated chdSf Anna was adored, loved and treasured by her family and friends. She will be truly missed and will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity of spirit, and her dedication to those she loved.

elevated chdSf In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
