elevated jKIu3 Sun, Anna
elevated jKIu3 Peacefully passed away on September 18, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Anthony. Caring and devoted mother to Selena (Richard), Clement (Cathy) and Martin (Judy). Proud “PoPo” to Justin, Braden, Jacqueline, Alex, Wesley, Noah and Liam. Anna will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of all her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, family and many friends.
elevated jKIu3 She arrived in Canada at the age of 18 from Macau to study at Marymount College and then McGill University, eventually becoming a teacher. She settled in Toronto where she met her husband Anthony and raised their children. Like all teachers, she started with supply teaching jobs and long-term occasional jobs. Eventually settling into a permanent position at Central Commerce High School where she spent over 15 years as a beloved and dedicated math teacher to many students, many of whom she still keeps in touch with. After her retirement, she started her next phase of life deeply involved with the care of her grandchildren. She couldn’t be a prouder grandmother attending every concert she could with her camera ready to capture their talents.
elevated jKIu3 Besides helping to take care of grandchildren, Anna and Tony also found time to travel the world, visiting distant relatives, enriching their beliefs by visiting the Holy Lands and soaking the sun on several large cruise ships. They would even plan multiple trips to Disney World with their grandchildren because to them it’s worth seeing the smiles on their faces.
elevated jKIu3 Anna will always be remembered for her kind and generous soul. She always listened to her friends and family and enjoyed her time performing Tai Chi and volunteering at schools leading children in saying the rosary. Anna also liked to boast that she was a good driving instructor, with her “students” passing on the first try 100% of the time.
elevated jKIu3 The family would like to thank all the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for the care and dedication they committed to helping Anna especially during this pandemic.
elevated jKIu3 In light of these challenging times with Covid precautions, a private Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:30pm. The funeral mass will be live-streamed online where condolences may be made from afar. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Anna was the first person I met in Canada when I arrived here ten years ago. She was always caring and loving, and she helped me settle into a brand new environment as a young girl. She wasn’t my grandmother by blood but she was one in every way to me. She will be sorely missed.
Love you Auntie.

三家姐 (3 gar-jeah) ANNA
You are my beloved sister, my private tutor, my comforter… You are the Center of our family.
You named me Georgiana ( meaning 佐住 Ana) just before you left for Canada.
I knew I must have bothering you all the times -asking question or help. Yet ,the first year I arrived Toronto, you adopted me. You were a teacher already. You rented a unit and helped me to find a school nearby so that I may walk to school. You’d cook all the meals without any complain. As a new immigrant and was spoiled at home. I didn’t even know how to boil water. The second year you got married, you didn’t dump me nor kick me out. You helped me to find a room near your place and invited me for dinner after school each day. Who would bring a sister along, when she’s dating. You always include me when you were out for movies, dinners or even shows.
Your kindness, thoughtfulness and caring will always be remember.
After I got married and moved around canada. you always keep me in touch. Asking me if everything is ok. And then telling me about the news of our family.
When Susanna ‘s son passed away or even before. You called and asked me to pray for him and Susanna anxiously.
O。三家姐 I miss you. I woke up in the middle of the night lately wishing that this is just a nightmare.
It could Not be true that you have left already. I miss you.
May you rest in the arm of our Lord Jesus.
may the good Lord keep and bless you till we meet again.
In Jesus names we pray,
寶寶 Georgi Ana

Anna 三表姐 was our beloved cousin. We always had thoughtful conversations with her and she gave us great advice. She was a loving mother and a caring grandmother. She was also a wonderful teacher and truly cared for her students.
Dear Auntie Anna, I will never forget how caring and loving you were when I came to to Toronto 11 years ago. You shared lots of experience on our big family gathering. I learned lots of cooking methods from you. When my daughter Ellen came to Canada 10 years ago, you tutored her many times so she could settle into new environment more easily. You will be sorely missed. May you rest in the peace of Lord.
Dear Uncle Anthony,
I am deeply sadden and sorry to learn the pass away of Auntie Anna. I really appreciated for all her helps during the time I studied in Canada.
Thank you once again and may Auntie Anna RIP.

To our dearest 三家姐, Anna,
It is so hard to face the fact that you have left us forever, although I know you are now happily in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
In memory, my new life in Canada was started by you. You were the one that sponsored me to Canada as a new immigrant and
helped me to register at school for Grade 13.
My surprise 60th birthday party was initiated by you too . Without you, I would not have such memorable and happy moments with all my close relatives and friends.
When I was worrying about my grandson, who was born quite premature, you comforted me with examples of similar babies who grew up to be healthy, successful people. You were always supportive, caring, and offered solutions to problems no matter how big or small. You were informative and always told us news of the world and family.
Without you , it seems we are missing an anchor.
I am sorry that in your last days, I could not be there to comfort you in person. I am whole heartedly thankful for everything you have done for me.
Your face, your good spirits , your kindness will be remembered by all of us always.
May you Rest In Peace in God’s arms and may we pray together for the Sun family and may God give them comfort and strength . Amen

Dear Amy, Lena & all members of Anna’s family,
I am sorry to hear the loss of Anna whom I met mostly at Sacred Heart’s gathering. She was always kind and gentle to everybody. She appeared to be very helpful in each function. Just exactly a year ago, I happened to walk with her & Lena at a trail, and had taken a few photos with them.
May Anna rest in peace, Amen.
With deepest sympathy and sincere condolences.
Dear Sun Family
Our deepest condolences to you during this time. We know you will find comfort and love in each other and please know that you are in our thoughts.
Although there is little solace in a note from a friend, we want you to know we all share your burden of sorrow.
Please accept our love and sympathy….
Aunt 3 Anna, we miss you dearly. You are always so caring and encouraging to me whenever I saw you at family gatherings. You showed your concern and encouraged me to be strong and not to fear.
I’m glad I get to say bye to you through the webcast service today. The message of the truth at the service was so encouraging and powerful: that our souls are eternal, that death is just a door which we must pass through, but our hope is rooted in Jesus Christ who resurrected, and that we as Christians should not be afraid to share/ashamed of our faith which is the truth, that each person must have a personal response to believe in Jesus.
Live on earth is short, we will meet again in eternity in God. Until then, we shall stay strong and be His faithful servants by God’s grace.
With love, Vanessa and Theo
Dear Uncle Tony, Selena and Richard, Clement and Cathy, and Martin and Judy,
I treasure the time I spent with Auntie Anna and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sending you my heartfelt condolences.
