Anthony Joseph Cassar died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on June 4, 2022 at the age of 62. Anthony, or Tony as he was known by his close family and friends, was the youngest child of Joseph (deceased) and Carmena (deceased) Cassar. As the youngest of their three children, Tony enjoyed being doted on by his older brother David (Grace) and Elizabeth (Lorenzo). He was a man who loved making people laugh, graciously enjoyed meals with family, and read obsessively about science, biology, architecture, and philosophy. Affectionately known as Uncle Tony by his nieces Cynthia (Matt) and Melissa (David), and his nephew Andrew, he relished telling them about his film career and making them laugh with his uncanny accents and imitations. This continued when his great nieces and nephews were born. Hannah, Ava, Adrian, Madeleine, Chloe, and Luke will always remember his monkey imitation and his funny jokes. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He will especially be missed by his brother David and his wife, Grace, in Malta who spent hours on the phone with him every week. Visitation will take place from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Holy Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday June 7, 2022 followed by a funeral mass at 1:30pm in the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to The Cancer Research Society. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
