elevated qbW9j Obituary

elevated qbW9j It is with deep sadness that the family of Anthony “Tony” Flanagan announces his passing at his home in Brampton on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tony leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Maureen. He was the adoring father of Karen (Ashley), Diane (Colin), and Debra (Kevin). He was a cherished Granda to Cody, Brooke, Makayla, Braedon, Logan, Ethan, and Brodie, and a proud Great-Granda to Brayson, Mason, and Kaycie. Tony is predeceased by his angel granddaughter Dawn, as well as his loving siblings Anna, Jessie, John, Nancy, Neil, Joseph, Eugene, Steven, Jim, and Chris, and his parents Annie and Michael. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters- and brothers-in-law, and by his many nieces and nephews.

elevated qbW9j Born in Govan, Glasgow, Scotland, Tony was a fiercely proud Scot. He often reminisced about the childhood antics he shared with his siblings and remained a devoted supporter of the Glasgow Celtic Football Club, “Hail Hail” A labourer throughout his adult life, Tony understood the value of hard work and instilled a strong work ethic in his daughters. He was the ultimate family man, taking on the roles of provider, joke teller, and song singer. An avid gardener and an exceptional cook, Tony took great pride in these passions. Tender-hearted and generous, he was always ready to lend a helping hand while seeking nothing in return.

elevated qbW9j Tony lived life to the fullest and found joy in the simple things. He loved travel, nature, music, and animals – especially dogs. He leaves behind his treasured Shih Tzu, Benji. His greatest love was his family. His legacy lives on through his three daughters, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

elevated qbW9j Rest in Paradise, Tony/Dad/Granda. We love you, and we will continue to make you proud. YNWA xx
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
