Alison and I mourn the loss of Mr Mantia.
Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time and are saddened we cannot join all of you celebrating Tony’s inspiring life. As many of you know, we considered Mr Mantia as our Toronto pop.
He was always kind, considerate and made the time to talk with us. He was the hardest working man I have ever known.
I fondly look back at our September golf outings where Tony, George, uncle Gus and I had our annual 10 cent poker games. Lots of laughs, a few drinks and overall great times together.
We will miss Tony and his smiling face very much!
Alison and I are with you all in spirit during his celebration of life.
To Gus and family,

Please extend our condolences to your family and love to your mom.
My deepest sympathy, to the Mantia family. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Gus ,Joe, Roseanne and the entire family– I’m saddened to hear about the loss of your Dad.
What a great man! Truly an inspiration to us “wannabe” entrepreneurs who admired his unique personal style. Sprinkle in a good, healthy dose of common business sense, with a touch of friendly smile….. WOW! he’ll surely be missed
I was particularly fond of his casual way making you feel special. I am fortunate to have spent some pleasant time and will surely miss his banter.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss of Tony. He was such a caring person – as I remember when my back was in such pain while at Mass. Tony insisted on driving Shirley behind my car (unknowingly ) until they saw me arrive safely at home.!. Such great people will always be remembered. Love. Avril

Tony was such a wonderful man. A true gentleman. You did not have to spend much time with him to realize his passion for his family, his business and his care for the people he encountered. I am fortunate to share his name and I have always felt a kinship with him. I can only hope to be half of the great man I know he was. I hold solace in the fact that I will encounter the spirit of Tony in all of his immediate family.
Condoglianze a tutta la famiglia Mantia.
Dear Shirley and Family,
So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing, made even more difficult at this extraordinary time. While we could not be at the church in person, it was still a great tribute to Tony, and we are sure the church was “packed full” online. A special memory for me (John) is back around the time Tony and Shirley were getting married, taking the Bloor street car on Saturday night from Bathurst to Pape to, to play poker with Tony, Shirley’s father, and I can’t remember who else.
Our condolences to all of you.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time. You are in our hearts and in our prayers.
Hugs.
The Taylor family
Dear Mantia Family,
As we watched the ceremony at the church, we were saddened that we could not be there in person, but please know that your father’s remarkable life and spirit came through in your loving tribute.
Paul had a shot of grappa after, in Tony’s honour!
My condolences on your loss. Tony was a wonderful neighbour, always ready with a pleasant greeting and asking about Mom. He will be missed.
Mr. Tony Mantia’s family, Uncle Gus and Zina, Cousins Rose, Maria and Linda,
My Father just let me know that Mr. Mantia passed away. I remember meeting him and his family at Uncle Gus and Aunt Zina’s house several times. He was a kind and friendly gentleman. May memories comfort you always.
Sincerely, Mary Clarke (Joe Speciale’s daughter)
It is with a heavy heart that I send my deepest condolences on Tony’s passing. I always looked up to Tony as both a family man and an entrepreneur. Tony was very influential and encouraging when I began my business 48 years ago and I have always been grateful for that. I am a better person for having known him and will never forget him.
This is Bernadette, the PSW . I loved Tony very much, he always was pleasant, no problems, no pains. I looked forward to be there for him twice a week. I truly will miss him.
My sincerest condolences it was always a pleasure chatting with your father during my sales calls.
He will be greatly missed.
