Chris and I were sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Tony.
We will always remember his fantastic pizza and popcorn and having tea in his kitchen. We will miss seeing him at family functions when we can get together again. He is with Auntie Vi and the rest of our families looking down on us with love.

He was a trooper, Mr, Teflon Tony, survivor of everything. What an amazing long life he had and in his own home until 95.
Condolences to all of his friends and family.
I used to work closely with a Tony Parro at Wilson Lighting Ltd. for 5 years in Toronto in the early 1970s. My first job. I wonder if this is the same man. We use to exchange letters after I left, then lost contact.
HI Douglas,
Sorry but I’m just seeing this now….it’s the same Tony Parro who worked at Wilson Lighting Ltd. I remember going to see my dad as a child at the back door of Wilson Lighting with my older brother when he worked nights.
So nice of you to post a message.
I feel so lucky to have spent time with Tony – a very sweet man whose joy came when anyone dropped by for tea and a visit. I’ll forever hear the phrase “Are you comin’ down?!” in my mind. For such a quiet soul, he had a fight within him that is unparalleled. “Teflon Tony” survived a wife, siblings, and many friends and loved ones. Much of his life over the last 30+ years was supported, lovingly, by Dyan’s tenacity and ability to source everything Tony needed or desired. I will miss the way he flirted with everyone around him and the wink in his eye. I will miss his hopefulness, his naive sweetness, and his warmth. Visiting him at Sunnybrook and other facilities over the past 2-1/2 years was a gift for which I am thankful. Rest in Power, Tony Baloney. Your creative spirit will live on for generations to come, I’m sure. Love you, friend.
Tony Parro was a king among men. A gentle soul with a penchant for flirting. A man who loved to have people around him. A warm heart. I will forever hear the phrase, “Are you comin’ down?” in my head – he loved to make a pie and serve some tea and enjoy the company of loved ones. The last 2-1/2 years have shown that deep down, he never changed, and only added strength and determination to his long list of lovable attributes. Dyan, your constant devotion, patience, and ability to make sure he got all the support he needed was amazing. I know he appreciated your time and effort, and he loved you so much. Rest in Power, Teflon Tony. Your wink and a smile will always own a piece of my heart.
