elevated blkM5 With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Antonietta Bumbaca (Monardo) on January 28, 2021 at 86 years of age.
All family and friends knew her as Anne. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife to Joseph and mother to her four boys. Her death marks 65 years
of marriage to the day.
elevated blkM5 Anne was most active in her local church, St Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church on Bayview Avenue.
Anne relished her roles as a Eucharistic Minister and being a member of the Prayer group. She also
volunteered as a telephone counsellor for 100 Huntley St.
Her deep devotion led her to visit Jerusalem in the Holy Land.

we all get a bit nervous and generate apprehension every time we have to express thoughts of grief or sorrow.
Perhaps it’ an emotional natural occurrence.
At times death can also be a peaceful liberating spiritual phenomenon for some.
I truly believe that this really applied to cousin Anne Bumbaca simply because of her strong faith.
Amongst pain and suffering………there are also a lot of great memories as well.

To the wonderful, caring family of Ann Bumbaca,
Joe, thank you for allowing me to care for your wife. It was truly an honour and a privilege to be by her side the past few years.
I am taught in school not to get attached, to know my place as a caregiver/nurse and to strictly keep my composure in times we lose a patient. As this is the reality of life. However, Antonietta was far from being just a patient to me. Ann was my nonna; my family. When you spend many days and weeks that turn into years caring for someone how can you not get attached. She brought joy to my life, reminded me the importance of faith and believing. Ann had a great sense of humour and would occasionally crack a joke here and there about finding me a husband that I thought was hilarious. Through the rough days, challenging days and good days Ann remained strong because after each day her bestfriend, her son Roberto will be right there after I left to keep her company and make going to sleep easy. I admire the connection she had with her children. When her sons would visit from abroad or when Mimo would come by she has this smile, the perfect smile.
My condolences to the Bumbaca family. A family that will forever hold a special place in my heart and will forever be apart of my life. Thankful to have met you. May God bless you.
