Dear Rosemary and John,
Losing a parent(s) regardless of their age comes with memories, good and bad, things that you wish you said sooner and things you wish you didn’t say. But even in our grief, there is solace and peace for our parents that are now making their way home. We are sad because it feels so final, but in reality nothing is farther than the truth, and one day – we will meet them again and we carry them in our heart always.
Be at peace my beautiful and cherished cousins, he is in good hands. Reunions are happening as I write this. The past is history and memories of him laughing and smiling that infamous smile of his will remain always.
Love you both with all our hearts,
Josie & Justin
Dearest Rosemary, John & Families,
A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on.
Peace, strength and the love of God will keep us strong.
We are deeply blessed to have known Uncle Tony…..may he rest in peace.
Please accept our sincerest condolences….he will not be forgotten.
Thank you both for your comforting words. Your thoughts are most appreciated.
Sending our sincere condolences for the passing of my dear Zio Tonino. During this difficult time, I hope John, Rosemary and their entire families find comfort as they reflect on their fond memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Dear Rosemary and John,
I would like to express my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your father, Antonio.
I’ve never had the opportunity to meet either of you but knew and respected your dad very much. During my tenure as Member of Provincial Parliament at the Ontario Legislature, I worked with Mr. Mauro to rectify what has been considered by many, an historical injustice that he, and other WSIB recipients, suffered through the years. It is thanks to Antonio Mauro’s relentless advocacy, his work with community agencies, with several MPPs and Ministers, and as a media spokesperson, that the Ontario government of the day, rectified its practices.
Mr. Mauro helped rewrite a page of history. He will live in the memory of many that are forever grateful to him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
Laura Albanese
Thank you for your kid words and soothing thoughts. We appreciate it.
Our deepest sympathies and condolences to Rosemary and John, and families on the passing of our dear cousin, Tonino. Thinking of you during this most difficult time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Rest In Peace Zio.
So many fond memories of our time together on Ellerbeck!
I have many wonderful memories of Nonno, like when we would race to finish our food at the dinner table. “No one can eat faster than my Madison…”, he would say. I will always hold these close to my heart. Rest in Peace Nonno – give Nonna a kiss for us!
Dear John and family,
Our sincere condolences (from my mom and our family). Mom just found out. So sorry for the lateness of this.
Praying that God grant you with strength during this time of sorrow. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
I know this message may look very strange. Today I thought of the kind and careful Mauro family, who hosted me on a school program in 1981 (Autumn-Winter). We lost contact, but I thought of them, my hosting brother John, my hosting sister Rosemary and above all my hosting parents, Ms. Maria and Mr. Antonino. So, I took a look in the web and I found this nice picture and I had no doubt, after so many years. I have very good memories of Mr. Mauro and of his wife Maria, and of all. I would like to send you a big and warm hug. Mr. Antonino Mauro was a very kind, careful and nice person. Un abbraccio forte,
Marco
