It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of our patriarch, Antonino Mauti, on February 21, 2026, at Hospice Vaughan, surrounded by his loving family just one month shy of his 91st birthday.
elevated PHjUV Beloved husband of 66 years to Elsa (née Di Girolamo). Loving father of Marcella (Vince), Bruno, Patrizia (Brian). Proud Nonno of David (Andrea), Jessica (Lucas), Bruno Jr., Divina, and Valentino. Adoring bisnonno of Viviana, Marco, and Adamo.
elevated PHjUV Reunited with his late siblings Silvio, Cesare, Gina, and Ida. Survived by his siblings Santina and Orlando.

Antonino dedicated his life to building a better future for his family by making the bold decision to immigrate to Canada. Whether building the streets of Toronto, making delicious wines and cured meats, or meticulously tending to his backyard vegetable garden and fruit trees, he taught us the values of honesty, perseverance, and humility.

He treasured gathering with family and friends and sharing stories of his youth in Italy.
elevated PHjUV His wisdom, kind spirit, humor, outspoken personality, and old-school manners will be deeply missed. He lived a full life finding joy in simple pleasures like a game of bocce, fishing, hunting, watching Formula 1 races, soccer and hockey games.
elevated PHjUV We will forever be grateful for the sacrifices he made and the love he shared. Antonino will be lovingly cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
elevated PHjUV Your thoughts and kindness are truly appreciated during this time of sorrow.
