Obituary
Antonio Casella, affectionately known by many as “Tony the Barber,” passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, just two days after celebrating his 76th birthday. Born on April 5, 1950, in the village of Valle dell’Angelo, Italy, Tony’s journey eventually led him to Brooklyn, New York. It was there that he met the love of his life, Carmelina, and he later moved to Canada to begin their life together, eventually settling in King City.

elevated usxyK Tony carried himself with a grounded, quiet strength and a keen, observant sense of humor. He was a man of deep convictions and few words, yet his well-timed jokes and clever perspective had a way of filling a room with light. He was a master of his craft behind the barber chair, but his true passions were found in the simple, meaningful traditions of his heritage. Whether he was hunting, fishing, tending to his garden, or carefully preparing his own wine and cured meats, Tony lived with a deep respect for his roots, ensuring those Italian traditions were cherished and passed down. Above all else, he was a fierce protector of his family, whom he loved beyond measure.

elevated usxyK Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Carmelina Casella, and his loving children, Vito (Annamaria), Frank (Tammy), and Daniel (Joey), as well as his sister, Rosetta. He was a proud grandfather to Mila, Sarenna, Sebastiano, and Malena, who will miss their Nonno’s humor and strength dearly. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. He is reunited in peace with his beloved parents, Vito and Virginia. Tony’s legacy of hard work, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
