It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Antonio Pagliari, in Toronto at the age of 88. He was born in Pescara, Italy to Ines Crisologo and Ludovico Pagliara.
elevated d4WRt Antonio is predeceased by his beloved wife Maria (Di Giovanni) in 2008.
elevated d4WRt Loving father to Luana, Ines and Beatrice (Enrico). Adored nonno to Caitlin, Kyle, Alyssa and Ileana.
elevated d4WRt Antonio’s life was one filled with love for his family, his friends, and for those whose lives he touched. He was a proud nonno of four grandchildren. The stories of his youth in Pescara, the city that he loved, brought smiles, laughter and tears to us all. Sundays were his favourite day of the week for family gatherings and he enjoyed watching Formula 1 races and Italian soccer games with Enrico, whom he loved as dearly as a son. He was passionate about gardening and his greenhouse.

For many, many years, Tony would visit our family shortly before Christmas, bringing with him Christmas treats (which always included at least one box of delicious torrone!). After my father passed away in 2014, he would continue to visit my mother at Christmas time. He phoned her in 2023, as he said he was unable to pay a visit. After New Year’s this year, we realized that we never heard from Tony. My mother said she’d call him, but I looked up and sadly saw this obituary.
Tony was a very kind, generous, and thoughtful man. He had a beautiful smile that lit up his face, and he was very proud of his three daughters. We extend our deepest condolences to Luana, Ines, and Beatrice, and all who loved Tony.
