Antonio Pantusa, otherwise known as “Ciccio” to his family and friends, passed away on September 4th surrounded by his family at the age of 94.   He was born in Spezzano Della Sila in Calabria, Italy and he lived a long and beautiful life surrounded by his children, Salvatore (Adele), Giovanna (Philip) and Sabrina (Nino), his grandchildren Olivia, Briana, Gianluca, Michaela and Simona.  He will also be missed by his sister Antonietta (Antonio), sister-in-laws Teresa, Rita, Assunta, Giovanna, his brother-in-law Tonino (Lidia) and by his many nieces and nephews.

elevated LU9Qu While we are saddened by his loss, we remember him always having a video or photo camera in his hands on every occasion capturing memories. Many of these moments included a glass of wine while playing cards with his brother in laws, family celebrations gathered around a table full of food, laughter and antics with family and friends.  We also often recall the numerous stories he would tell, and embellish to his grandchildren, of life in Italy, the value of traditions and most of all, the meaning of “family.”

elevated LU9Qu He was truly a caring and loving father whose kindness, humour and gentle spirit touched everyone around him.  He taught his children his strong work ethic and to carry on the traditions he helped to create. His love and dedication for his family were at the heart of everything he did and his legacy will live on through them. They will forever cherish these countless memories.

elevated LU9Qu Ciccio will lovingly be remembered as always having a smile on his face, a jovial spirit and a witty comment ready.  He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren who always had time for a laugh, a face-time video or making silly faces with them on their phones and never missed an opportunity for a photo. Right to the end, he was still smiling, calling everyone “Pasquale” or “Carolina” and managing a joke or two.  

elevated LU9Qu Find comfort that he is once again reunited with his wife Luigina to continue their love story in heaven together with his extended family members sharing an espresso and conversations of the past. We all loved him and we find peace in all the cherished memories.  His memory will forever remain a part of the lives of all those who knew and loved him.
