elevated mFkRX Obituary
elevated mFkRX It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Antonio “Tony” DiVincenzo, on October 18, 2026, at the age of 66.
elevated mFkRX Tony was predeceased by his loving parents, Angelo and Angela DiVincenzo, and is survived by his stepmother, Pauline DiVincenzo. He will be deeply missed by his five brothers, Giovanni (Suzanne), Peter (Sue), Mike (Michelle), Nick (Tara), and Frank (Dana), and their families.
elevated mFkRX Above all, Tony was the father of Taylor and Lucas, who are left heartbroken by his passing. The loss of a parent brings a sadness that is difficult to put into words, and there is never enough time to say everything we wish we could have said. While Tony’s life has come to an end far too soon, he will always be a part of their story. Our hearts are especially with Taylor and Lucas as they navigate the loss of their dad, carrying with them their own memories of him.
elevated mFkRX There is something especially meaningful about the final chapter of Tony’s life. Two years ago, Tony moved to Windsor, where he initially lived with his brother Frank, his wife Dana and their son, Niklas, before eventually making his home at Cardinal Place Retirement Home. Those two years gave Tony the opportunity to reconnect with his two brothers living in Windsor and their families, sharing time and creating memories that we will cherish for years to come. What we didn’t know then was just how precious that time together would become.
elevated mFkRX For the final six months of his life, Tony and his dad, Angelo, lived together at Cardinal Place. They spent their days in each other’s company, enjoying the simple gift of being together. During the spring and summer months, they could be found outside in the garden Angelo lovingly tended. Those moments between father and son, along with the time Tony shared with his brothers and their families, made his final years especially meaningful. They are memories we will hold close to our hearts forever.
elevated mFkRX When Angelo passed away on September 30, just 18 days before Tony, we could never have imagined that we would be saying goodbye to Tony so soon afterward. While losing them both in such a short time has left an unimaginable sadness in our hearts, we find some comfort in knowing that father and son, who shared so much time together in their final months, are together once again.
elevated mFkRX Tony was a retired Canada Post mail carrier who had a remarkable memory and was truly a wealth of information. His knowledge extended across so many subjects, and he often surprised us with just how much he knew. Tony wasn’t always one to say a lot, but when asked a question, he usually had the answer. He had a particular interest in sports. Sunday football at his brother Frank’s house became a weekly tradition, where Tony enjoyed watching the games alongside his sister-in-law, Dana, and his nephew Niklas. Those afternoons weren’t necessarily filled with conversation, but they were filled with something just as meaningful — the simple pleasure of being together.
elevated mFkRX Tony will be remembered for many things, but perhaps nothing more than his smile. It was warm, welcoming, and always carried just a hint of mischief. It was the kind of smile that made you wonder what he was thinking or what he might say next. That smile was so much a part of who Tony was, and it is how we will always picture him.
elevated mFkRX Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Cardinal Place Retirement Home. You cared for Tony with kindness, patience, compassion, and, most importantly, love. You came to know him as we knew him, and it was clear that he held a special place in your hearts.
elevated mFkRX Tony, we will miss your quiet presence, your remarkable knowledge, your sense of humour, and most of all, that unforgettable smile. You leave behind a family who will miss you in different ways, but whose lives will forever be touched by yours.
elevated mFkRX Rest peacefully, Tony. Give Pa a hug from all of us. We take comfort in imagining the two of you together again, perhaps sitting in a garden, enjoying another beautiful day.
elevated mFkRX If you so desire, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
