elevated zNFAt Passed away on 9 December 2019 in Toronto, Canada surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Patricia Ann Quintal (deceased) and Wendy Camps; father of Gordon Govia (Natalina), Nicole Carlyle (John) and Ashlyn Govia; grandfather of Eric and Ava Govia and Myles and Jeremy Carlyle. Son of Oliver “Sackie” Govia and Vera Franco (both deceased) ; brother of Brenda Xavier (Anthony), Beverley Serrao, Bernadette Francis (Martin), Bridgette Govia, Bettylynne Serrao, Barbara Jean Gomes, and Bernard and Basil (“Bing”) Govia (both deceased). Uncle of Dirk Xavier, Arlette Harford, Janelle Guillen, Michelle Lee, Darryl and Andrew Serrao, Daryn, Sarah, Jennifer and Kristen Francis, Gregory and Gina Marie Reece, Tracy, Marie, Matthew and Michael Serrao, Kimberley, Justin and Joshua Gomes, and Lisa Govia. Brother-in-law of David and Wayne Quintal and Charmain Camps, Maureen Brown and Giselle Carrington. Cousins too numerous to mention, good friend to many. He was a man of God, a rabid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, a lover of cricket at any level and would travel far for a good roti.

Barry was a gentle and kind soul. He always had a smile on his face. My sympathies to Gordon,Nicole and families.
Gone but never forgotten.
