My condolences to the family. Sad to hear of Ben’s death. May he R.I.P. he and Priscilla were there for me when I lost my husband Victor – very kind and very helpful couple. May they both rest in peace.
Randal, Mark and Sharon – we are so very deeply sorry for the loss of a great husband, father and Torontonian. Ben was many great things and we have such fond memories of him. I will always remember his love of Reader’s Digest, his preference to hang 2 rights instead of a left turn and his recommendation to pursue my MBA as it would be worth its weight in gold. He welcomed many new comers to Toronto educating them in the ways of the TTC and the miracle of OHIP.
We join you in honouring him as a great human being who will be very much missed.
Ben, you will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. You lived your life focused on faith and helping those in need. You were a model father, member of the faith, and citizen. Your family, friends, and country will miss you dearly.
RIP Ben. You and Presi were an amazing couple, always ready to lend a hand and reach out to so many. We will never forget how you would come by and give mummy (Maria Fernandes) a ride to the seniors club and religious ceremonies.
You and Presi were so proud to celebrate the Siolim Social and would always sell the most tickets. Siolim has lost an exemplary son and we mourn your passing Ben. Thank you for the wonderful people you and Presi were, you were so loved. Violet, Antonio and Maria

Randal, Mark and Sharon, sincere condolences for the passing of your Dad.
My brother Lloyd (aka Abdul) and I lived with your parents in Kericho, Kenya, while they coached us for the First Holy Communion, being the devout Catholics the were.
That was before any of you were born.
I was surprised at how well Uncle Ben looked when I met him at U. Cassy’s funeral, and I told him so. With his usual sharp wit he replied, ‘ Not just looks!’
By Grace he has been released from his end of life suffering. He is at Peace again. RIEP, Uncle Ben.
PS It was great to watch the service in the lovely church and the large numbers who came to pay their respects.
PSS. May Peace be with you three in your grief
Your cousin,
Altair
